Shame in Supervision Psychotherapy Webinar
Location: Online - Zoom: 2 pm to 6 pm GMT
31st January 2025
In this webinar we will discuss how the power dynamics in the supervisory relationship can foster shame. Sometimes the archaic relational needs or the transference-countertransference dyad of the supervisor may be activated in the supervisory relationship interrupting contact. This lack of contact from the supervisor may activate script believes in the supervisee. Shame invades the relationship, and nondisclosure becomes the supervisee’s self-protective mechanism against shame.
How can we repair our own misattunement and build safety when shame enters the supervisory relationship?
This webinar will be useful to supervisors and supervisees.
Through lecture, case-vignettes, clinical discussions, and experiential exercises this webinar will focus on the significance of repairing our therapeutic errors.
* This webinar will be in English with Turkish translation
