Relational and Integrative Psychotherapy 2 day Experiential Workshop
25th & 26th January 2025
Location: Manchester
This 2-day experiential workshop is based on Richard Erskine’s model of relationally-focused and developmentally-based Integrative Psychotherapy. While we associate the term ‘Integrative Psychotherapy’ with an integration of theory, Erskine’s model also refers to the process of integrating client’s affect, cognition, physiology and behaviour in order to relax their defensive mechanisms, so behaviour in any situation is by choice and not out of fear, compulsion or conditioning.
This workshop will be useful to psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists and trainees, who want to further their understanding and refine their therapeutic skills in providing a relational psychotherapy for their clients. In this workshop participants will also learn how to maintain a sustained phenomenological inquiry and how to respond to client’s relational needs.
The theme of this workshop may include Life Scripts, Relational Needs, unconscious relational patterns, nonverbal communication. Various methods of a relationally-focused and developmentally-based Integrative Psychotherapy will be demonstrated and taught.
Ruth will do live therapy with some members of the group. She will then discuss the theory and methods used in the live therapy.
A CPD certificate for 15 hours will be issued.
